Isle of Capri Lake Charles Review
Isle of Capri Casino and Hotel
100 Westlake Ave Westlake, LA 70669
(337) 430-2400
Overview: Besides Lauberge, Isle of Capri is the only other casino locatd within Lake Charles (technically Westlake LA but it’s a fairly short drive from Lake Charles/Lauberge). This casino is focused on a more budget gambler and features lower limits compared to Lauberge. However, the casino itself is not nearly as nice as Lauberge, which is why this casino is mocked as the ‘Isle of Debris’ by some people.
Games: Isle of Capris actually has two separate casinos in it. One is solely comprised of slot machines/video poker whereas the other casino has both slots and table games. Isle of Capri is known for lower limits, typically $5 and perhaps $10 during peak hours. They have a few craps tables with 20x odds.
Restaurants: Isle of Capri has a few restaurants, including a buffet, a bar/grill, a quick serve restaurant, and an Asian restaurant. I’ve only visited the buffet. It was decent, though Lauberge’s is significantly better.
Surrounding Area: Since Isle of Capri is further outside of Lake Charles, there is less to go within 5 minutes to if you get sick of the casino. It’s still not that far to Lake Charles though (15-20 minutes), so it’s not like you’re on some sort of deserted island. Some people may enjoy the low limits at Isle of Capri and then go to Lauberge for the hotel or the bars there. Isle of Capri also features an RV park.
